President Obama did not "cut" Food Stamp benefits.
Four years ago a big part of his ARRA or Stimulus program was a temporary rise in the amount given to those receiving food stamp benefits. The rise was set to expire this past month and it has.
So if anything, Obama had essentially given away extra stamps for several years.
Yet what some of us have found most interesting is that the most vociferous complainers about the cuts are those who seem to have moved forward the least in their lives.
Although there are many valid reasons, including those having gone back to school , people with life changing situations they havent fully adjusted to including divorce etc, the real question isn't why are stamps being cut but why, exactly are you STILL receiving stamps four years later?
