THIRD ANNUAL HYDE PARK BREW FEST 


TAKES PLACE JUNE 4-5, 2016 AT 53rd STREET’s HARPER COURT AND S. HARPER AVENUE Chicago, IL

Sponsored by the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce and #EatDrinkandBe Events, the third Annual Hyde Park Brew Fest is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 45, 2016, at 53 rd Street’s Harper Court development, 5235 S. Harper Court, Chicago, and portions of S. Harper Avenue.







The popular festival will include 100+ craft beers and ciders to sample; food from local Hyde Park restaurants including A10, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Ja’ Grill, Kilwins, Native Foods, and Porkchop; live music and DJs; and an artist vendor area curated by the Hyde Park store, The Silver Room.

Wallace E. Goode, Jr., Executive Director of the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, stated, “The Hyde Park Brew Fest has quickly become a local tradition, and we’re looking forward to an even larger turnout this year.” Jonathan T. Swain, event codirector added, “With more local and national breweries participating in the event, the Hyde Park Brew Fest will be a weekend-long celebration you won’t want to miss. With food, music, and artist vendors, the event is perfect for the whole family – and not just beer aficionados.”

Some of the participating brewers include 51 st Ward Beer Company, Ale Syndicate, Blue Nose Brewery, Brooklyn Brewery, Deschutes Brewery, Forbidden Root, Lake Effect Brewing Company, Magic Hat, Revolution Brewing, Temperance Beer Co., and many others.


Brew Fest hours are 12-10 p.m. on Saturday and 12-8 p.m. on Sunday, with beer sampling available from 1-7 p.m. each day.
















General fest admission is free, but paid passes and tasting tickets are required for access to the sampling area for beer tasting, with pass prices ranging from $25 to $60.  Tickets only available for those 21 and over with valid ID. Who is Gemynii?

Gemynii is a self taught artist who mainly works with painting. She is also a poet, art instructor, and community activist/organizer. 
Her paintings focus mainly on abstract portraits of people of color and is influenced heavily by social issues, music, body and gender acceptance, and the Black experience. Gemynii seduces the viewer into a world of ongoing equilibrium and the interval that articulates the stream of daily events. Moments are depicted that only exist to punctuate the human drama in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life.
Rachel Gemynii Evolving
Gemynii currently lives and works in Durham. In early 2013 she began to formally exhibit her work locally.  Since that time she has showcased her work in various venues up such as  Pitch Media Gallery, The Market Street Coffeehouse, Duke University Hospital, Golden Belt, Winston Salem State University, The Brooklyn Swirl, Blue Coffee Cafe, and Busboys & Poets. In September of 2013, Gemynii became apart of an international art collective known as RAW. Over the last year and a half, she has showcased with RAW three times as a featured visual artist and was recognized as a Director's Highlight at the 5th annual RAW awards. In July 2014, Gemynii exhibited work at Brooklyn's RAW show Communique as well as two additional shows in the in Brooklyn area. In December of 2014 she also placed 2nd in The Oak City Art Battle in Downtown Raleigh.
